Welcome to Phoenix Research Nest

Due to globalization and socio-legal challenges associated with contemporary transnational crime, comparative legal research has become an important field of academic and legal education. It utilizes diverse knowledge in different jurisdictions to fill the knowledge gap by analyzing, synthesizing, comparing and distinguishing theories and practices of law in various jurisdictions so as to foster a deep cultural understanding of foreign laws with a view to providing solutions to complex legal issues.

What is it that we do?

We conduct comparative legal research with a focus on business and corporate law, financial regulation, and financial crime including money laundering, fraud, corruption, terrorist financing, financial misconduct. A significant part of our research is interdisciplinary from sociological, legal, political, cultural, ethical, and historical perspectives.
